The Saffron Ice Cream Company makes luxury dairy ice cream and sorbet by hand, supplying much of East Anglia and London. The products embrace seasonal flavours, and they taste so good, they’ve won many regional and national awards and featured on both television and radio. Owner, Dominic Parry, approached me in spring 2017, requesting an illustrated face-in-the-hole board which they could take to events this summer and beyond. It needed to get audience participation and activity on social media. The style needed to compliment their high-end brand and not appear too cartoony. After sketching Dominic’s idea and getting a thumbs up, this was the final artwork. It is proving a great success at shows so far.
